How much does a website cost in Bosnia & Herzegovina (2026)?

An honest look at website pricing in BiH: what drives the cost, what 800 KM gets you and what costs more, and how to spot a quote that will end up costing you twice.

A website with me starts at 800 KM (roughly €400) for a marketing site — custom design, responsive layout, technical SEO, a contact form, and hosting and domain set up for you. The price goes up with page count, whether copy and photography need producing, multiple languages, and a system for editing content yourself. You get an exact quote free after a twenty-minute call.

That is the short answer. The longer answer is what most quotes will not tell you — because the price of a website says less about the site and more about what is included.

What you are actually paying for

When you compare two quotes, compare these five things rather than the total:

  • Custom design or a template. A template costs 50 KM and takes an hour to adapt. Custom design means the site looks like your brand, not like three other salons in town.
  • Copy and photography. If you do not have them, someone has to produce them. That is often half the work, and it is rarely mentioned in the quote.
  • Technical SEO. Load speed, structured data, a sitemap, correct headings. Without it the site exists, but Google does not find it.
  • What happens after launch. Who updates content? Who fixes things when they break? Are you paying monthly, and for what exactly?
  • Who owns it. The domain, hosting and code need to be in your name. If they are not, you cannot change developer without losing the site.

What 800 KM gets you with me

At the starting price I build a site of one to a few sections — home, services, about, contact — with everything listed above included. The timeline is typically 2–4 weeks, and that depends mostly on how quickly I receive your material.

I do not work on WordPress templates. Sites are built in Next.js, which is why they load in under a second and why Google likes them. For you that means fewer visitors giving up and a better position in search, without ever hearing the word "Next.js".

When the price goes above the starting point

  • More pages — every page with its own content and its own SEO target is a job in itself.
  • Multiple languages — Bosnian and English is not twice the work, but it is not free either.
  • A content editor — if you want to change text and images yourself, without a developer.
  • Integrations — bookings, payments, connecting to tools you already use.
  • Copy and photography — if I need to write or organise them for you.

All of this is agreed upfront. There are no surprises at the end.

How to spot a quote that will cost you twice

Quotes of 200–300 KM usually mean a ready-made template, no SEO, on hosting that is not yours. The site looks decent on day one, then it is absent from search, slow on a phone, and when you want a change the developer is unreachable or charges for every click.

I am not saying more expensive is always better. I am saying ask what is included — and insist that the domain and hosting are in your name from day one.

What next

If you are thinking about a site, see exactly what I offer or send me a message — what you do and what you need is enough. I reply the same day.

Frequently asked

Can I pay in instalments? Yes. The standard is half at the start, half at launch. Larger projects are agreed in phases.

What if I already have a site and just want it fixed? It depends on what is underneath. If the old site is on a template, it is often cheaper to build new than to repair. I look for free and tell you honestly.
